Stainless Steel F347/F347h Flanges

Stainless Steel F347 flanges/F347h Flanges are columbium-stabilised austenitic stainless steel flanges with good corrosion resistance and excellent resistance to strong oxidation. During the chromium carbide precipitation range of 800 – 1500°F, it provides excellent intergranular corrosion resistance. A Stainless Steel F347 flanges does not have a board or a hub centre.

It has a flange-like face thickness, a similar face type, and a similar bolting pattern. A nozzle opening can be sealed with it on a pressure vessel. There is a protruding rim around the circumference of Stainless Steel F347 flanges/F347h flanges. Machined from a forging, it is usually butt welded to a pipe. There are drilled holes on the rim that allow the flange to be bolted to another flange. 

The stainless steel F347/F347h Flange is used for fluids at low pressure or with little leakage risk. 347 Stainless Steel Lap Joint Flanges are used for cooling water lines, low-pressure compressed air lines, firefighting water lines, and process lines for oil, gas, steam, condensates, etc. Both piping and duct systems use it. The flange consists of a Lap Joint Stub End that is butt welded to the pipe and a backing lap joint flange that is slid over the pipe before welding.

A pipework network is created by connecting stainless steel F347/F347h flanges to cylinders, valves, pumps, and other devices. The machinery is divided into two sections. A SS 347 Plate Flange is a flat, circular disk that is welded to the end of a pipe so that it can be bolted to another pipe. Fuel and water pipelines use it. With a gasket between the two plate flanges, they are bolted together. 

There will be bolt holes around the perimeter, and it will be used to create junctions, joints, and tees. It is different from a valve and it is a permanent or long term isolation device. 

When pipe sizes change, Stainless Steel F347 flanges/F347h flanges are used. The predominant flange matches the larger pipe size but has a smaller bore that matches the smaller pipe size. Blind, slip-on, threaded, and weld neck flanges are commonly available. In addition to being available in all pressure classes, it provides a good alternative to connecting two pipes of different sizes.

Stainless Steel F347/F347h Flanges are designed for butt welding to join piping systems. As a result of its long neck and the cost of people contacting WN flange with pipeline or fitting, this type of flange requires a great deal of specification and is expensive. However, it is preferred for high-stress applications. Stresses are transmitted to the pipeline by the hubs or necks. The stainless steel F347/F347h flange is a disc-shaped flange that is available with either a raised face or a ring type joint. An on-flange flow nozzle measures the flow of fluid conveyed by the pipeline.
