High-pressure hot finish seamless tubing has a pressure below 3,000 PSI, while high-temperature hot finish seamless tubing has a pressure above 5,000 PSI. A cost-effective alternative to cold drawn tubing, HFS tubing offers a wider tolerance range. It is possible to specify the OD and wall dimensions of hot finished seamless mechanical tubing. Pipes with an OD of 26.7mm – 88.9mm and a WT of 3mm – 15mm that are hot finished seamless (HFS).

 Seamless mechanical tubing is manufactured from SEA 1026 carbon steel using the same extrusion process, but without the final drawing step at room temperature. HFS produces steel tubes that are easily machinable and ideal for applications without tight dimensional tolerances or smooth surfaces. For ASTM A519 compliance, HFS steel tubing has thicker, heavier walls.4140
