ASTM A335 P22 Alloy Steel Seamless Pipes are carbon steel pipes with chrome, molybdenum, and sometimes vanadium added. Chromium, or chrome, improves high-temperature strength, increases oxidation resistance, and increases tensile strength, yield strength, and hardness.

The ASTM A335 P22 Alloy /ASME SA335 P22 pipe contains 1.9% chromium. It is as strong and corrosion-resistant as austenitic stainless steel 304.
